Retired US Navy Special Operations Officer Joins VideoRay LLC as Director of Bus

VideoRay LLC VideoRay LLC is pleased to announce the selection of Paco Santana as the Director of Business Development.  Mr. Santana’s responsibilities will include developing and leading the VideoRay Business Development team in sourcing, managing, and implementing new business opportunities, especially in the Military, Law Enforcement, and Offshore Oil & Gas markets.



Mr. Santana “I am very excited about this opportunity”, said Mr. Santana. “I look forward to supporting the VideoRay team in providing proven and reliable solutions to our customers in the military, law enforcement and offshore oil & gas markets.  Our underwater robots add safety to our customers operations, reduce overall time and costs and improve efficiencies in the underwater realm.”

 

Mr. Santana comes to VideoRay with 26 years of leadership experience and management expertise, including over 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy.  He retired in 2008 as a Special Operations Officer and Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. His last naval appointment was as the Program Manager for Joint Service and Navy EOD.  As Program Manager, he successfully spearheaded  programs for the military’s EOD robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Navy EOD’s small unmanned underwater vehicles.  Prior to that position, he spent 3 years as Deputy Division Chief and Plans & Policy Branch Head of the Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection Division (J34), U.S. Northern Command, and served as Chief Staff Officer for the Commander US Mine Countermeasures Group TWO and the Commanding Officer of EOD Mobile Unit TEN.  

 

In addition to his naval service, Mr. Santana spent four years in the private sector. His most recent position was at iRobot where he served as the Director of Maritime Systems Applications from 2009 to 2012.

Paco will undoubtedly help us develop and refine VideoRay’s vision and strategy to guide us in the right direction.”

 

Mr. Santana will work from Raleigh, North Carolina in the Research Triangle.
