Veripos Apex service used to measure magnitude of the Tohoku earthquake in JapanThe Veripos Apex PPP (Precise Point Positioning) service has been used in conjunction with the data from the Japanese GeoNet reference station network and GPSS Inc processing software RTnet to measure the deformation of the ground caused by the Tohoku earthquake in Japan on 11th March.

The Veripos Apex system was also used to post process the data for the time the quake struck giving visualisation of the movement caused by the quake. Visual graphics can be found at www.rtgps.com/rtnet_pppar_honshu_eq.php.
