Norwegian positioning contract for Veripos

Norwegian positioning contract for VeriposVeripos has been awarded a three-year extension to their general services contract by Siem Offshore of Kristiansand, one of Norway's leading contractors with a fleet of specialist support vessels operating globally. Under the contract, Veripos will initially provide 10 Siem Offshore vessels operating variously in European, Brazilian, Asian and African waters with its dual beam Veripos Standard service.

The positioning services will also be provided onboard another new-build vessel Siem Amethyst which is due for commissioning shortly. Under the contract Siem Offshore have the option to further extend the service to its other fleet vessels as and when necessary.

Separately, Veripos has also been awarded a two-year services contract extension by Simon Møkster Shipping for provision of its Veripos Standard positioning service to two of the Stavanger-based company's offshore support vessels. Each vessel is already equipped with dual Veripos LD2 integrated mobile receivers for deriving position solutions which are used by the vessel's DP systems.
