L-3 ELAC Nautik awarded a contract for multibeam systemIn January 2011, L-3 ELAC Nautik has been awarded a contract for a SB 3030 system to replace the existing EM 300 Kongsberg system on the GAS survey vessel Odin Finder.

This high resolution multibeam system will be installed to perform depth cable routing, oil offshore and pipeline routing surveys in the Mediterranean area. The 1,5 x 1 degree resolution will double the vessels survey capability and comes with the Water Column Imaging (WCI) option.

The SB 3030 will already be operational and immediately go into survey operations when the Odin Finder leaves the drydock in March 2011.
