PDM Neptec continues to be at the forefront of the underwater engineering industry with its recent commitment to the Aerospace, Defence and Security industries' reputable programme Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21).
SC21 is a stringent business improvement programme focusing on quality, supply and customer relationships, with the aim of achieving supply chain excellence throughout the UK's aerospace, defence and security industries. With international competition increasing, the participation of companies of all sizes throughout the UK supply chain is crucial to delivering real results from this initiative.
Formally nominated to join SC21 in late 2010 by Thales, PDM is undertaking an audited recognition process that will reflect the contribution and commitment of its supply chain, and benefit all customers. Being part of SC21 gives PDM the opportunity to network with other leading companies in the aerospace, defence and security sector, including the UK Ministry of Defence, in a coordinated effort to improve the industry's supply chain.
PDM's commitment to quality is well established, having commenced with BS5750 in 1993, and achieving ISO 9001 registration in 1999. It is therefore no surprise to learn that the company is currently undertaking SC21 to complement its excellent quality management systems.
Commenting on the news, Ian Doble, PDM's Managing Director stated: "We have joined SC21 to drive real improvements in our supply chain, and improve our on time delivery to all customers. In doing so, we continue to demonstrate that we are committed to offering our customers the best quality, service and delivery performance possible."
