VideoRay ships 200th Pro 4 ROV systemThe 200th VideoRay Pro 4 ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) system is on its way out the factory door to its new home in the San Francisco Police Department Marine Unit's Headquarters. The new fully loaded Pro 4 PS300 XL ROV is specifically configured for Port Security and Law Enforcement applications such as port and pier inspections, shiphull inspections, and victim or target location and recovery.

Multibeam sonar and non-acoustic ROV positioning make this system an extremely effective inspection and recovery tool for difficult low visibility underwater environments.

The SFPD Marine Unit joins a long and distinguished list of local, state, and federal Law Enforcement, Search & Rescue (SAR), and Port Security organizations both nationally and internationally who have realized the benefits of the VideoRay ROV's portability and simplicity. VideoRays have been successful in more drowning victim recoveries, drug smuggling detection, wreck inspection, and other underwater tasks than any other small ROV. Total system shipments from VideoRay are rapidly approaching the 2,000 mark, and are continuing to ship at an increasing rate.
