Aspect Surveys purchases R2Sonic wideband multibeam echosounderAspect Surveys are delighted to announce the purchase of their second multibeam system. The R2Sonic 2024 Wideband Multibeam Echosounder, the first of it's kind to have been purchased within the UK. This system was chosen because of its high-performance capabilities and for its capacity to produce exceptionally high resolution data quality.

The system is very lightweight, portable and of a compact design which will facilitate ease of mobilisation within our own survey vessels and onto client's vessels.

The R2Sonic Wideband Multibeam Echosounder system combined with RTK GPS and an Inertial Navigation System will be utilised on a variety of survey projects, including engineering inspection, object detection, dock wall surveys, cable and pipeline surveys, as well as seabed mapping to IHO S-44 Special Order specification.

Water depths can be accurately recorded between 0.5m - 500m, due to the wideband 200kHz - 400kHz selectable frequency range of the system.

Aspect Surveys are confident that their clients will see the benefits of their investment in this system for themselves when surveys are reported and that they will be impressed with the range of options available from this leading-edge technology.
