ODIM MV200 order for chinese Institute of OceanologyODIM Brooke Ocean has received an order for an ODIM MVP200 from the Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy Science.

Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy Science has placed an order via Laurel Technologies Company Limited for an ODIM MVP200 with a Multi Sensor Free Fall Fish (MSFFF). Institute of Oceanology is the largest scientific organization in oceanology-related fields of scientific research and technological development in China. The ODIM MVP200 will be used to measure the ocean front process and thermocline process in East China Sea and Yellow Sea.

The multi-sensor multi-purpose system configuration will consist of an ODIM MVP200 with an AML micro CTD, a Wetlab ECO Flurometer and a Seapoint Turbidity sensor, all installed on the MSFFF. The system will enable the Institute of Oceanology to collect real-time vertical water column information to aid in their oceanographic research.

The ODIM MVP200 is a self-contained, electrical 'smart' winch, which collects oceanographic data using various third party sensors while the vessel is underway at speeds up to 12 knots.
