Moviemaker James Cameron has big plans for the New Year (10) - he's aiming to break a world record with a deep-sea dive.
The director is currently readying to release new sci-fi epic Avatar, which has made history as one of the most expensive films ever made, but he's already got his sights set on another record for the deepest underwater descent.
He'll plunge 36,000 feet to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean - and the multi-talented Titanic filmmaker is helping to construct the craft he'll travel in.
He says, "We are building a vehicle to do the dive. It's about half-completed in Australia."
