Date: Thursday, December 18, 2003 @ 01:20:38 EST

Mobil North Sea Ltd. has found gas after exploring an area just south of the Camelot field in the southern U.K. zone of the North Sea.

The MNSL-operated well tapped the Rotliegend reservoir 5 miles south of Camelot and flowed to 65 million cubic feet per day “on an 80/64-inch choke.” Mobil said it was weeks of analysis away from knowing the column’ size. MNSL has a 70-percent interest in the well, along with 30-percent partner EOG Resources.
