Lars Hansen, 55, will take over the position as CEO as of 1 February 2009 of Eiva. Lars Hansen has a background as electronic engineer. He has held the position as Director of Sales & Marketing of the MacArtney Group in Esbjerg, where he, for the last 20 years, has worked in several management positions, including the positions as Technical Director and Managing Director of the US subsidiary in Houston. Previously Lars Hansen has worked in the survey industry at Racal and Svitzer.
To further strengthen the management at Eiva, Per Stæhr will join as a member of the board of directors. Per Stæhr has 24 years of experience with the A. P. Møller Mærsk Group, where he has held a number of management positions, including the positions as President of Mærsk Drilling and Mærsk Contractors. His latest operating management position was with the privatised British Rail Engineering Ltd. (later Bombardier Transportation), as President for 7 years. Per Stæhr holds the position as chairman or board member in a number of companies in the maritime or offshore industries.
Since the succession change at Eiva in April 2008, Eiva has seen continuous growth in sales, earnings and the number of employees in line with the previous years. Chairman of the board Frans Boch said: "We look forward to welcoming Lars Hansen and Per Stæhr onboard.
