The 2008 Coabis User Group was held Aker Solutions, Aberdeen on 18th November. Over 60 clients joined, from as far afield as Australia, to learn about the new exciting developments planned for this industry-leading inspection management tool.
Douglas Sinclair, Coabis Development Manager, rolled out the developments in the product since the last user group; these have been many and significant over recent years, enabling Coabis to remain as the inspection management tool of choice around the world.
Yesterday's announcements included the incorporation of pipeline survey reporting into the main tool, and work on interfacing with other third party applications in order to allow Coabis to be used as the main tool for managing and maintaining clients' asset integrity data from wellhead, through pipeline, to platforms to onshore refining. Our partners from digital video specialists NETmc Marine and marine survey specialists EIVA were also on hand to provide information on their integration with Coabis.
Rod Buchan, Managing Director of Aker Offshore Partner Limited, said, "2008 has been the best year in Coabis history, with a record number of new clients signing up to Coabis as their inspection management tool of choice. The continued development and support of the tool by the Coabis team ensures that we remain at the top of the market sector, and it remains integral to our overall asset integrity offering. 2009 is the twenty-year anniversary for Coabis and already promises to be bigger and better than 2008."
