Offshore oil services group Acergy is facing strike action at its Norwegian Shelf operations over a wage dispute.
Norwegian uni0n SAFE has announced there could be a strike in Acergy Norway from December 19 involving 124 workers.
The uni0n claimed there was a breakdown in negotiations between Acergy and the SAFE over wage talks and that mediations will be conducted in Oslo on December 17 and 18.
If there were no agreement by noon on December 18 about 124 SAFE members would go out on strike, the uni0n said.
"This will strike effect most of Acergy ROV (remotely-operated underwater vessel) operations on the Norwegian continental shelf," SAFE said in a statement.
It said Acergy's ROV and survey activities on the following vessels will be completely affected: Far Saga, Acergy Viking, Scandia Acergy, Petrell, Normand Mermaid.
"SAFE course hope that we will manage to avoid a strike but.... an economic dispute must first be agreed," the uni0n added.
