BlueView Technologies, Inc. increases security at Australian portsBlueView Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of miniature multibeam imaging sonar, was recently awarded a contract by Ocean Modules AB to supply sonar systems to the Australian Customs Service. After BlueView successfully completed extensive acceptance trials, Australian Customs executed an order for BlueView’s P900 multibeam sonar to be integrated on to their fleet of Ocean Modules Pty Ltd. V8 Sii Remotely Operated Vehicles.

Australian Customs is that nation's primary border protection agency. Customs has been investing heavily in new technology to boost protection against potential seaborne threats at Australian seaports. Starting immediately, BlueView’s P900 will be performing hull and berth inspections ensuring that any contraband attached to vessels’ hulls is identified and intercepted. BlueView is honored that Australian Customs has selected their P900 high resolution imaging sonar to optimize their underwater security inspections.

More than 100 BlueView sonar systems have been deployed since the first one was delivered in July 2005. As a result, there are currently more BlueView sonar systems operating in US ports than any other multibeam imaging sonar.
