Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Offshore ASA said on Tuesday (5 August) that its associated company NorCE Offshore has secured a five-year contract for its construction support vessel newbuilding Nor Vision from Woodside Energy Ltd.
The contract is estimated to be worth AUD122m.
The contract, which can be extended by two additional years, covers vessel management, subsea IMR and installation engineering support in connection with Woodside Energy's IMR campaign in Australia.
NorCE Offshore will undertake the contract in a strategic alliance with i-Tech, a division of Subsea 7. i-Tech's share of the contract covers ROV integration, and related engineering services.
NorCE Offshore is a subsidiary of Solstad Offshore's 50%-owned Singapore-based company Nor Offshore Ltd. The CSV Nor Vision is scheduled for delivery in early 2009.
Solstad Offshore, headquartered in Skudeneshavn, Norway, provides offshore supply and support services to the offshore industry. The company has a fleet of over 30 vessels and reported revenue of NOK2.22bn in 2007.
