Phoenix International installs 40-tons crane on Anne CandiesPhoenix International Holdings has completed the installation of a 40-ton dynamic knuckle-boom crane onboard the M/V Anne Candies. The vessel is owned and operated by Des Allemands, La.-based Otto Candies, and currently term chartered to Phoenix International Holdings.

The 240-foot by 54-foot (73-m by 16.4 m) M/V Anne Candies is mobilized with a Schilling Robotics 200 horsepower intelligent work class remotely operated vehicle, rated to 11,480 feet (3,499 m). The new knuckle-boom crane, augmented with a 60-ton winch and overboarding tower, provides the ability to overboard 40 tons.

The M/V Anne Candies is primarily configured for underwater inspection, maintenance, repair and light work tasks to support subsea development efforts in the Gulf of Mexico.
