Alam Maritim Resources Bhd said yesterday it has yet to receive any confirmation on the outcome of bids it has participated in.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Alam Maritim said it had participated in a number of bids, locally and abroad, tendered by oil majors for the provision of offshore support vessels, sub-sea works and underwater related services.
It said it would immediately release the relevant information to Bursa Malaysia if it did receive any award of material contracts.
In its latest issue, The Edge weekly reported that Alam Maritim had secured a RM1 billion three-year contract from Petroliam Nasional Bhd’s unit, Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, for the provision of jobs that included underwater maintenance works and support vessel services.
If secured, the contract would mark the largest the company had locked in since its listing in 2006, while analysts said it would boost the company’s results. The stock closed unchanged at RM2.13 yesterday, with 305,500 shares done.
