Prona Canarias sign with AC-CESSProna Canarias (Santa Cruz, Spain) has signed a distribution and service agreement with AC-CESS Co UK Ltd (Aberdeen, Scotland) for the AC-ROV underwater inspection system.

Founded in 2003 Prona specialise in all types of marine construction and have established themselves as one of the leading companies in the sector. Headquartered in Tenerife, Prona have an international presence completing large scale construction jobs on mainland Spain, down through West Africa and as far a field as Australia.
Mr Rigoberto Rodriguez, Prona's founder states that one of the operating principles of the company is to utilise new technologies to increase profitability and safety:

"What first got my attention about the AC-ROV was it's ‘on-site' capabilities, I can get a camera on any submerged target now - the engineers or client can see exactly what's going on. Plus I don't need to send the divers into that environment for visual inspection jobs!"

Citing the AC-ROV's physical robustness and mobility as differentiating it from other micro vehicle systems Mr Rodriquez was keen to sign up as a distributor. As representative for a wide range of international construction equipment manufacturers, Mr Rodriquez feels Prona now offers a unique product and service that previously was not available in the Spanish marine construction industry.
