ODIM awarded subsea contract worth NOK 64 millionA contract worth about NOK 64 million to supply six ODIM LARS™ has been awarded to ODIM by GEO ASA and subsidiaries. The systems are due to be delivered within 2008.

The ODIM LARS™ is an automated launch and recovery system for remotely operated vehicles (ROV). The ODIM LARS™ is designed to handle ROVs on water depths down to 4,000 meters.

Five of the systems will be delivered with A-frame for launch over the ship side, while one system will be designed for launch through a moon pool with a cursor system.

After receiving this order ODIM has received orders for a total of 17 automated handling systems for ROVs from the Geo group during the last 18 months. ODIM considers this a remarkable quality mark for this subsea solution which have been developed in close cooperation with the customer.
