Technip and MMHE confirm their support to PETRONAS for the development of Block SK316
Technip, in a joint venture with Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE)(1), has received confirmation from PETRONAS Carigali for a substantial(2) engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for the development of two gas fields in Block SK316. Those fields are located approximately 180 kilometers North of Bintulu, Sarawak, at a water depth of 104 meters.

BP and its co-venturers, ConocoPhillips, Chevron and Shell, are pleased to confirm the safe installation of the Clair Ridge platform jackets, a major milestone in the Clair Ridge project.
Clair Ridge is a £4.5billion investment in the second phase of development on the Clair field which lies 75km to the west of the Shetland Islands. The project will comprise two new bridge-linked platforms, as well as new pipeline infrastructure to connect to processing facilities on Shetland. The next major milestone is the installation of the topsides, scheduled in 2015, with production expected to commence in late 2016.

BP and CNOOC today signed a production sharing agreement for Block 54/11 in the deepwater Pearl River Mouth Basin, South China Sea. The block covers 4,586 square kilometres in water depths from 370 to 2,300 metres, and is close to BP’s existing deepwater interests in Blocks 43/11 and 42/05.

Total announces that the Ivoire-1X exploration well, located in the western portion of Block CI-100 in 2,280 meters of water, encountered 28 meters of net oil pay in a series of about 100 meters of Cretaceous reservoirs. The oil in the abrupt margin geological play is light 35 API oil.

Total has received a firm offer from Borealis for its entire 56.86% interest in Belgium’s Rosier S.A., listed on NYSE Euronext Brussels. A leading international provider of chemical solutions, Borealis is already active in nitrogen fertilizers in Central Europe, as well as in France following its acquisition of PEC-Rhin S.A. in early 2012. Borealis has offered €200 per share for Total’s majority interest.

YENAGOA (Reuters) – Gunmen ambushed an Indian-owned oil barge on Tuesday as it was being escorted by the military through Nigeria’s Niger Delta region, killing two soldiers and one crew member on the ship, a security forces spokesman said.
The ship belonging to Sterling Global Oil Resources, part of the Sandesara Group conglomerate, was fired on in the Angiama area of the delta, according to Onyema Nwachukwu, spokesman for mixed military and police brigades in the Niger Delta region.
