 The aircraft flaperon recently retrieved from La Réunion has been confirmed as coming from a Boeing 777 aircraft, and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has now confirmed it belonged to the missing flight MH370.

Aker Solutions STAVANGER, Norway – The North Sea Giant vessel has begun offshore installation of the modules for the Åsgard subsea gas compression project in the Norwegian Sea.

This is designed to extract a further 282 MMbbl from the Åsgard field.

Chevron has made a gas discovery in the Carnarvon hydrocarbon basin, off Western Australia's north-west coast.

Located in the WA-392-P permit area, 95km northwest of Barrow Island, the Isosceles-1 exploration well encountered 134m of net gas pay in the Triassic Mungaroo Sands, in 968m of water.

Offshore News: BP starts complex Kinnoull subsea tieback in North Sea

ABERDEEN, UK – BP has started production from the Kinnoull field in the UK central North Sea as a tieback to the Andrew platform, 230 km (143 mi) east of Aberdeen. This should extend the productive life of the Andrew facilities by a further decade.
