 Advanced MacArtney TRIAXUS ROTV for CSIRO MacArtney has supplied a TRIAXUS remotely operated towed underwater vehicle to the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national science agency, and one of the largest and most diverse agencies in the world.

 
The TRIAXUS underwater vehicle will be utilised on Australia’s Marine National Facility research vessel, the Investigator.

 Canyon ROV Services award from McDermottCanyon has McDermott award for ROVs services across construction and pipelay support vessels. Three years plus options is duration. Canyon will mobilise dual work ROV spreads as required and is initially expected to cover North Ocean-102, North Ocean-105, newbuild North Ocean-108, and newbuild DLV-2000. Mid-2014 is expected to see first mobilisation with six systems on three vessels.

Work class ROVs are indispensable in the offshore oil and gas industry, working on a whole spectrum of life-of-field applications from exploration drill support to decommissioning of offshore infrastructure. There are over 1100 work class ROVs servicing the global market at present. Infield Systems’ ROV database (InfieldROV) divides these work class ROVs into three categories – light work, medium work and heavy work.

Fugro Subsea Services To an ever-increasing extent, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), ROV simulation and control technologies and remote engineering services are all playing a key role in the operation, inspection and maintenance of subsea and ocean floor equipment. ROVs equipped with video cameras, sonars, pipe-trackers and navigation and positioning sensors inspect subsea pipelines and other subsea equipment at depths where divers cannot operate. ROVs equipped with manipulators and intervention tools carry out maintenance as deep as 3,000 metres.

VideoRay The St. Louis County Sheriff's Rescue Squad recovered a drowning victim from Lake Superior off Brighton Beach with a VideoRay Pro 4 Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) last Thursday.  Led by VideoRay consultants David Phillips and Tom Crossmon, the search & rescue team used the Pro 4 ROV equipped with a Teledyne BlueView P900 series imaging sonar to search for a 31-year-old man who was reported missing late Wednesday night.
